Youtube videos for adult class
« on: April 03, 2013, 09:14:02 PM »
Hey everybody,

I have an adult class and I want to use some short videos with my lessons so they can actually see the topics that we go over in class.  Does anybody have any links to some good ESL videos or other suggestions? I looked forever but couldn't find any.

A lot of TED talks have Korean subtitles and your adult learners may find these two videos of particular interest:

Pro-English Mania: http://www.ted.com/talks/jay_walker_on_the_world_s_english_mania.html

Anti-English Mania: http://www.ted.com/talks/patricia_ryan_ideas_in_all_languages_not_just_english.html

Thanks Jaunter for the TED Videos. I've taken the top video (pro-English)

Pro-English Mania: http://www.ted.com/talks/jay_walker_on_the_world_s_english_mania.html

and created a lesson around it. I will attach the copy for the teachers (includes the korean transcript and questions) and my copy (no korean, and how I want the lesson to progress). I hope it helps somebody.

If I have time I will make a powerpoint of the vocabulary that gives the meaning of the words for them to copy down.
