Here's a PPT to introduce vocab from this book, as well as a "guess the picture" game that I modified from another user's template. (If you're using an older version of PowerPoint, check the animations for the guess the picture game beforehand!) Enjoy ^^

Here's a Spongebob Bomb Game I adapted. I got the template from another Waygook poster and put in images of stationery. Some of your students might have trouble reading the letters at the beginning of the game, so I just got them to come up and point to the letter they wanted. Otherwise, you could just put in numbers.

I have also attached a review ppt for lesson 3.1, which I got from another poster but is good to use before playing the game.

Here is a boardgame I adapted for this lesson. I created it in ppt so it's easier to make changes as you see fit, and then just print the slide. Hope this helps

the book with the blue cover and real heads on cartoon bodies.

Here's a hidden pictures game using extra vocabulary from the lesson. I split the class into teams and had each one roll a dice on their turn. Whatever number they rolled, that's how many boxes I took away. They had to guess what the object was by saying, "Is that a ___?" I would answer "Yes, it is" or "No, it isn't." Plus 5 if they guessed right, minus 1 if they guessed wrong!

I incorporated "school supplies" into this lesson by using the magnets provided to me by the school.
I divided the class into groups and I would say "What's this?" while pointing at a magnet. Each group would then write down whatever I pointed to on their papers and run up to me and show me. First team gets 10, 2nd gets 9 and so on.
The kids get so into the game that it actually seems like they're memorizing the items to win the game.
I hope people can use this to help make memorization fun(?)

the spongebob game is awesome!! the kids love it!!

and the ghostbusters game has been edited by me for this class as well

Here's a game I'm using for this lesson. It's a pretty straight forward Guess the Picture game. Nothing too fancy.

This is a ppt I plan to use to introduce the key phrases and vocab for the lesson. With my students, I give them a the list of the vocab and have them repeat after me. I ask them to quietly think about what the words mean and then I show them the picture part of the ppt and they match the word with the picture. I think it helps them remember the association if they can get there independently first.

Anyway, hope it's useful for you. And, thanks to every who posts on here. I can't even count how much great material I've pulled from here! I would be lost without this site!!

For the Role-Play/Listen and Act + Have Fun day...

We'll do the role-play...kind of. More like Listen and Speak sections (watch, discuss, repeat, finish)

Then...the Have Fun activities seem a bit too labor intensive for the instructing parts but similar to a game I played with my winter camp kiddos this winter that they LOVED called ostrich game
