Does anyone know where there are free WIFI hotspots in Ulsan?

honeynutloops:
For a country that supposedly has the best internet connection in the world I find it pretty dreadful to say the least.  Back home WIFI was available in most cafes and certain public areas and when WIFI was advertised as FREE.........it generally was!

Here I cant seem to find any free WIFI locations.  The only place i've found internet is in Starbucks.....and you have to register with your ARC before being allowed access!

Anyone know of any public locations where there is free WIFI?

sweet_potato:
How do you even register with your arc card? I keep getting this screen for KT internet and it doesn't seem to do anything when I try.

McDonalds has free wifi too apparently.

honeynutloops:
well you have to type your name exactly as it appears on your ARC....usually in block capitals too!  I couldn't get it to work first time either.

sweet_potato:
hmm.. that's strange.. but i'll try it! thanks!

gilbert.a.h:
Yeah, everywhere that has free wifi generally requires you to put in your ARC number, but remember, it isn't a big deal here. Just don't go looking up illegal things such as kiddy porn or pro-north korea stuff. Other than that, they don't care. The Koreans have to do that too!

I find that Starbucks is a good place. McDonalds too! Check out fastfood joints like Lotteria. I saw stickers in some.
