Kiss My Kimchi: Surviving and Thriving in SOKO

Looking for a guide on how to survive and thrive in Korea? Check out my blog!  I started out to blogging to keep my family and friends back home up to date on my life here and basically its the same but only a little more focused.

I'm trying to find others to guest post about their own experiences (good, bad, mixed) about living and working in Korea. And if you have any great ideas for posts like a cool spot you've found, a great cafe, delicious new food, social or sports club, or anything in between then let me know!

So I just learned about this the other day. I guess the closest comparison in the west would be the Lolita Archetype, but they are more like pretty young things without the slamming body Bagel girls are supposed to have.

What do you think?

I don't get paid. I like to write. I like to take photos. So I write about the places I visit. The only bad habit I have is that most of the time I don't feel like its worth it to write about places I've gone to where I don't have a good experience. So I usually dont write anything at all about that unless whatever happened irked me so much that I have to have some cathartic release.

Part of my job was to write Court Reports on teenage criminals before I came here, so I'd say at the very least shameless   :)

Um...  I was the one writing the court reports as part of my job as  youth Justice social worker  for the govt.

 I wasn't a newbie journalist thrown the boring court beat....

 I used to work with the top 5%  of  teenage criminals and part of my job was interviewing the victims/my clients/families/police/support agencies and then write the report for the Judge to read.

Much more interesting than watching law and order on TV

That does sound much more interesting. In fact I bet law and order maybe took a few ideas from court happenings as well as news stories "ripped from the headlines."

Ha I suck at drawing and needed an easy logo hence the kmk which isn't so edgy as I would like but still serves its purpose. ;)
