Chase the Vocab- Prepositions
« on: April 07, 2011, 12:35:04 pm »
I used the excellent powerpoint template from RufusW (concept by Amy Rodulfo) found at  http://waygook.org/index.php/topic,3718.0.html  to make a Chase the Vocab game using prepositions (on, under, etc.)

I'm using it for my middle school students but it would be great for elementary too.

Kindergarten?  I'm wondering if I could get eighth graders to follow what is going on.  Could someone explain how this is supposed to work?  I think I'm missing something.

Review the pictures on the slide.  When the students are ready, click the arrow button and the pictures will be covered up and move around.  The students then guess where they think each of the pictures are.
The "easy" slides are suitable for very young kids and the most difficult one is practically impossible so it is easy to find a difficulty level that is suitable for your students.

Can someone PLEASE explain how to change the images? The instructions included on the first slide do not make sense to me. I've been fooling with it for about 2 hours and I can't figure it out.

The problem I'm having is that I can't make the previous image go away. I delete it, paste in a new image, run the animation...and the old image is under the purple box.

I had to get around it by actually writing down the number of each picture in it's new order on a seperate sheet and then just quickly running through them at the end.

HI - if anyone has used this game recently, could you give me some advice on how to change the vocab around? I really can't work it out? Cheers.
