My ppt is kinda awful so I'm not gonna put it up, but this game has been a lot of fun so I thought I'd share it.
If you've ever heard of fruitbasket upset, it's the same game, but applied to the lessons here.
Everyone sits in a circle with their chairs except 1 person has no chair and stands in the middle. The person in the middle chooses someone at random and asks them a question. For example: Lesson 1.6 Did you have a nice vacation?
The person in the middle asks "did you have a nice vacation" and the person they asked says "Yes it was...." or "no it was....." and answers with a set choice of adjectives. Each kid is assigned to one of the adjectives. I use Wonderful, OK, Boring, Awful. So if the person answers, "No. It was awful" then everyone assigned to the word "awful" stands up and has to switch chairs and the person in the middle tries to sit down. There is always someone left in the middle so then that person goes and asks someone else. And so on and so on. I also add in a phrase that means that everyone has to get up and move, like, "No. I didn't go anywhere." If they say that then everyone gets up and frantically tries to find a seat.
It's quite amusing to watch and I feel like everyone ends up getting a chance to use the key expression. I play for like 20-30 minutes. It's best with a big classroom and class size. Have fun!
