As part of this unit my students made postcards about themselves and I sent them to the middle school in my hometown as a start for an old fashion pen pal exchange.
Wondered if anyone else had tried this and if so, how did it turn out?
I love that idea. How did you "make" the postcards?
I bought heavy card paper and cut it to postcard size; A4 into A5 works but it can be a little smaller.
On one side they wrote a short letter and added decoration.
On the other side they wrote the address like you would for an envelope.
Another idea is large index type cards.
I found both at my nearest Alpha {stationary} store.
