about clothes in korea

I am Korean american. I am from the US. the korean clotehs don't fit me beacause its too skinny. Korean people are skinny and tehy like to wear it tight. I just want to know where other people buy their clothes. thank you

There is a Forever 21 and H&M in Seoul.  A little more expensive then the prices for things back home in H&M but huge store.

You can try Upsize in Itaewon and then in Myangdong there is a shop called Uniglo and in Dondaemun there is a department store called Doota.

I think you should go to Dongdaemun. They sell different kinds of sizes.

UniQlo is a good store since it's a chain and there's usually one in every major metropolitian area.

At Dongdaemun, the Migiore (sp?) mall has a large size (women's large in US sizes and above) store somewhere on the 3rd floor, I think. It's right next to Doota. Not actually that close to the subway exit. It's been a while since I've been, but I think you have to take exit 9, Dongdaemun Cultural and History Park (not the plain ole Dongdeamun on the blue line). Er, it's been a while since I've been, so I can't give you good directions since it's not a simple matter of walk straight and turn once or twice. Hope someone else can fill you in.

I usually have no problem finding shirts, since a popular style is overlarge and drapey and that means perfect fit on me. Jeans and pants, however, I would suggest looking at the clearance racks: usually, it's the largest or smallest sizes they're trying to get rid of. I've found a lot of 30~32 sizes that way, and at an absolute steal!

I can't speak for the men but ladies, there are so many places we can shop at (Busan).

I head to Nampo-dong Fashion Street where you can pick up loads of bargains and for those who are a UK 7 (shoe size), in Korean sizes that's 250mm (25cm) and you'll definitely find shoes/sneakers that fit. Another good place to head to is Seomyeon underground mall and Pusan National Uni. The only annoying thing is that the items are sometimes repetitive but as one person pointed out Uniqlo is also good and can be found in all the Lotte's along with Zara, Mango (MNG definitely in Nampo-dond).

Itaewon is always a great for finding Western sizes, though the selection of brands are limited. If you're willing to pay the extra buck, you can always find Western brands/sizes at the department stores (Shinsegye, Lotte, Hyundai).

If you're into vintage clothes, there are tons of little vintage boutiques in Hongdae!
