I want to go outside today.

Like many of you, I work in a public school. Actually, 5 public schools. I usually teach about 4 lessons a day, and then have the rest of the day to plan lessons, read, etc. Many of my teachers have told me that I will probably get bored, so i should bring a book. I was wondering what you guys do to keep busy. Do you find yourself outside, going on walks, getting a little exercise? Are your principals/coteachers okay with you spending some days outside, or do they ask you to stay in your office?

I clean my classroom. That pretty much takes up all my time, wash the floors, clean the windows, desks, 3 hours of it this morning and I am still not done.

I have gone outside before at lunch time and played jump rope with my students.

Sometimes I also assist the other teachers if they need me for free.

If you really feel bored I recommend taking an online course. You can also start a blog. So many things to do, no reason to be bored.
