Grade 3 - Review (Bora, Bandi, Tomtom)
« on: April 11, 2011, 11:50:26 am »
Hello!

You'll find study sheets for the 대교 3학년 curriculum attached. They include the target sentences from the books as well as some sentences from 2008's Step and Jump books (세계로 가는 영어.)

I know that a lot of you have finished Chapters 1 and 2 already, but perhaps they'll be helpful (cue dramatic, portending voice) IN THE FUTUUUUURE!

I put together review ppts and review games for:
lesson 1 and 2
lesson 3 and 4

Two lessons at a time.  I'm still working on lesson 5 and 6 ^^;

Here's a Review Bomb Game for lessons 2-7.  I skipped over lesson 1 because I think they understand it pretty well.  Most of the slides have animated gifs, and the animal slides have animal sounds to go with it.

I'm putting up the review ppt for lesson 5 and 6 that I said I was still working on before :)

Does anyone have a good game review ppt for lesson 7 and 8?

Here is a review of lessons 6,7 and 8.

I reviewed target sentences, not target vocab. ~ brought up vocab in missing dialogue games.

focused on lesson 8 ~ Look! It's Blue.

What's missing game for lesson 8.
Form teams.
One student from each team comes forward, one by one ~ He/she look at the center image and announces using the target sentence 'I have a/an~.'
He/she then turns facing the class (NOT the TV) while the students ask ~ What colour is it?
The student must then guess what colour his or her item is.

Points are downgraded according to how many guesses are needed.

ENJOY!

EDIT: I attached Hobo font that i used.

I made this Review PPT over Key Expressions (Unit 1,2) for Lessons 7-10.
My Co-teacher liked it so much that she posted it for her other Korean teachers to share.
I hope you find it useful !

Hi Everyone

Here is a review board game.  It took the images from the ppt above. You can use the ppt to go over the key expressions and then have the kids play a board game.

Cheers
Maureen

Special Thanks to Vanessa for making the o.g. ppt.

That is a very neat review ppt.  I will use it but add on a section for lesson 11 :)
Thanks!

Grade 3 - 'SHREK' Story Time Review (Lessons 1-6)
« Reply #10 on: February 03, 2012, 12:19:26 pm »
My 3rd graders love Story Time, as well as doing role-play. So, this is a short story that I made up using the characters from Shrek. The story should cover a few key expressions that were used in lessons 1-6. Use of different voices is highly recommended. Enjoy!  :D

Here is a BOOM! game that I got from the template pack that goes over the book. The game can take 10-15 minutes, depending on how quickly the kids choose to stop (will make more sense when you read the instructions on PPT). The kids went crazy for it. Nice twist on the whole bomb concept.  I used it in conjunction with the Mario game posted on this thread. I played the bomb game first, then the Mario game.
BTW, I noticed the Mario game has some bugs. Some of the slides repeat, but already have the answers on there. I'm not Power Point savvy yet, otherwise I would have fixed it. Otherwise, it's such a fantastic game; the kids went crazy over it. I made a fourth grade multi lesson review for the Bandi book with it. Props to sopfy10044u for the game.

I hope this is the right place to post this! Sorry if it isn't!
I didn't make this template for the Jeopardy game, but I put the content in.
Grade 3 Lessons 1-3 Review are in this PPT. The story time (Peter Pan) is most of the "Extra" category. And there are links to videos that you should load before class if your internet connection is slow. The kids loved this so much that we played it on 2 different days haha. I do Team A and Team B, but everyone who participates gets candy at the end of class.  ;)
