I teach two teacher classes.. for non-English teachers at my school. Curious, if anyone else does as well? Ideas for lessons?

I used to last semester.

I often didn't do formal lessons, but gave them easy articles which they worked together to understand and had discussion topics based on these or discussion topics based on whatever seemed interesting.

Popular topics were:

Travel/Differences between countries
Food/cooking
Hobbies and interests
Teaching - good points, problems, methods
[In Korea once more - Working in Pyeongtaek]

I have a teacher class. I kind of like it, but it feels like a burden!

I've been doing topic based conversation classes.
Topics I've done so far -
Music
Money
Time

Just cos they're adults doesn't mean you shouldn't play games (the more embarrassing and funny the better)

I have the same thing every monday. Their level of English is low to non existant so we have just been doing the real basics: Personal introductions with questions and answers, daily routine, past, present and future simple etc. Once they have the fundamentals down we will move on to more interesting discussion type topics.

I found that the teacher's at my school really enjoyed my lesson on the chinese zodiac.

http://www.chinatoday.com/culture/zodiac/zodiac.htm

We went through each animal and it's characteristics. Any unfamiliar words, I would clarify through examples, gestures etc.
I find them to be more engaged when they can relate to or are familiar with topics they know.

Hope this helps!
