I knew my predecessor quite well, and she didn't leave me any plans or material. She did, however, get me the job, so I can have few complaints!

I am all for sharing.  I think we can help each other become better teachers when we share our ideas.  Why would you not want to leave some lesson plans behind?  I'm sure we all can remember that first day we had to prepare a class and had no idea where to start.

I plan on leaving my materials for the next teacher as well as a lot of things in my apartment for the next person. My previous teacher started out with nothing because the school was new to the EPIK program and he left a lot of materials for me. I really appreciate them, but don't use them very often. More than likely, I find something on my own or make something myself. I take the previous teacher's things as a resouce and a place for ideas. I try not to use the same things because the students were exposed to the material the previous year. So doing my own thing prevents repetition and I actually know what is going to happen next (I've used other's PPT and came upon many surprises).

I hope that the next teacher will do the same. He/she is going to have lots of deskwarming hours so, browsing my files or the previous teacher's files can be a many hours of brain storming. Luckily I don't have to make detailed lesson plans, so if the schools change their mind of actually needing one, then the new teacher is on their own. :P

Isn't this the whole purpose of coming to Waygook? To share ideas and many times your hard work? At least we don't have to go through the whole copy right and citing here. :P

I was left with nothing, apart from some dried squid, half a box of cereal and some opened sauces in the fridge. Nothing of use. Fortunately, a co-teacher met me at my apartment as soon as I got there and she showed me around. I think the old NET gave up at the end of his contract as when I first started the kids were out of control and never brought their books or equipment! Bit of a nightmare as it's my first time teaching in a school in another country! My degree's in TESOL so I'm glad I got my sh*t together quickly! On the topic though. I want to stay another year, but after that, I'll be leaving info, materials and my kitchenware for the next one. I can't take it with me, may as well let them have a positive first impression :)

I don't really have a choice as all my files/PPT's etc have to be stored on the internal shared files network and can only be deleted by the person in charge of IT (once it's on)

I will leave all of my materials that I have made or downloaded.  I will give them a file of all my lesson plans, and give them tips about each of the three schools I work at and what they can expect from co-teachers.  I will do everything I can to make their job easier...  When I arrived I was completely on my own trying to figure out everything and it was extremely stressful and difficult.  I would have been very grateful for any help...

I don't want someone else to go through what I had to deal with, so I will help them out as much as possible.
