@dpsmith, I'm reading your message in a different voice now. It's so easy to misunderstand written text (whether email, message, text, etc) because so much is said through body expressions.
This is probably far easier for me to suggest than it is to implement. In theory, a good way of implementing ratings would be a tiered systemed like reddit.com. everyone who replies to your comment is in a sub-comment. If you downvote it, the box minimizes. Etc, etc, etc. That said, it'd probably require a site re-write. Easy for me to suggest, but harder to implement when Arsalan, etc volunteer their time.
