127 Hours lesson powerpoint

This the first lesson plan I made from scratch. It's based on the film 127 Hours and it's introducing the concept of hypothetical situations and using the phrase 'What would you do?'.

It's quite difficult so I would use it for advanced students, although my some of my lower level students managed to participate with a lot of help with dialogue.

I hyperlinked the trailer to the poster, the students watch it and then discuss what they think happens.

I just tried this with my high level 3rd graders - it worked well. I like the way the PPT introduces the target words and builds up to using them in key sentences. It didn't quite have legs past 20 mins though. I supplemented it with a review on prepositions 'where is park ji sung' which can be found with a search.

Introducing key words/expressions with a movie theme is a good idea! Keep 'em coming!
