Speaking of bells...apartments?
« on: April 21, 2011, 03:35:40 PM »
How does your apartment bell sound? I had never heard mine before last Saturday. Sometime around 8:00am after I had gotten to sleep around 3:00am and feeling no pain, I heard a sound. In that blissful state of semi-sleep I started dreaming I was home in Laos and was listening to the sound of the geckos which are all over the place. It was such a nice dream! I miss home.

Later, after I had gotten up and was having a coffee my co-teacher called to see if I was alright. I said sure, what's the problem. She said she was by my place around 8 with a box of apples for me but I didn't answer my door. She asked the building super to let her in to check things out and he couldn't open the deadbolt because there is a little push/pull pin that locks the lock from inside (very cool). So, she new I was in but not answering and was worried.

Everything was cool, I got my apples and sat around. Several hours later I kinda clued in I may have been hearing the apartment doorbell! I opened the door and pushed the button and sure enough, it sounds exactly like geckos screeching away!!!  I was in stitches.
