I don't remember if I've posted parts of this already, but here are my plans from the second half of chapter 11.  The final lesson plan talks about a clip from A Walk to Remember.  I posted it to my blog, and this link should lead to it: http://networkedblogs.com/ozPCi.

This is a ppt game that I made for group work. Each slide has 4 clues that lead to a sentence (I want to play basketball). If you guess the answer on the first clue you get 4 points. 3 for the second clue; 2 for the third clue, and 1 for the fourth clue. When playing, I made everyone in the group raise their hand and shout their answer together to encourage all students to speak.

(First post!)

My co-teacher has me make vocab reviews for each lesson. They have a picture - I tried to make the pictures as descriptive as possible - and then you click and the target vocab comes up.

This lesson has long passed - I'm just now getting around to actually using the resource that this board is. Hopefully this isn't too identical to anything that's already here. Thanks!

Short worksheet.  It has a Read and Do (dialogue to read and questions about it), a weekend schedule (Friday, I want to... ; Saturday I will... ; Sunday I would like to...), and a tongue twister.

I would like to share all of my files for this lesson. I hope they can be used in some way for the 2012 school year. Included are the following:

-Period 1 warm up (riddles), which leads into key expressions practise
-Period 3 review (students simply guess X/O)
-Period 5 review ("to want" very conjugation)
-Lucky Wheel game

UPDATE: Added another video and a PPT geared for the video.  Understand all these activities don't have to fit in one period, but can be divided up however you want.

Here's a video for a song where the vocabulary somewhat relates to this material.

Also, here's a video I found referenced from EFL Classroom, and I decided to play the first 2.5 minutes only of it focusing on Joe, Marsha, Diane, and Robin.  Attached is a powerpoint to prepare them what to listen to before actually listening to it because this English is for a natural environment instead of a textbook environment. The powerpoint has a quick matching activity for everyone to see.

My plan is to emphasize a difference in "What do you want to do?" usually referring to today, and "What do you like to do?" referring to free time.  The curriculum's choice is vague, so I think it's good to highlight these differences.

I also included a lyrics sheet for students to follow along, and to look at the music video for homework to contribute in a future lesson.

For a game, I will play a "Rock Scissors Paper" game.  Here's how it's played:
A. Place the flash cards on the board in a line horizontally in 9 Spaces.  The class will be divided into groups A and B.
B. One student from each group will come up and ask, “What do you want to do?”  The group needs to respond according to the answer, and if the group responds correctly and loudly, they can move to the next space.
C. Once the group meets in the middle, they do RSP.  The loser starts over.
D. Keep repeating step B and C. If the teams reaches the end, they are the winners!
Hey this youtube video was actually pretty good! Thanks
