Auction Game
Iv attached 2 ppts one of the questions and one of the answers for this game, also attached are money sheets which i created to give to the students to auction with and answer sheets which are given to each group. I gave them 200 funpounds, 1 50, 4 20s, 4 10s and 6 5s.
Heres how to play
1. Split teams into groups of 4
2. Hand out 1 question sheets to each group and get students to answer true or false to each question, use the ppt to show them pictures of some of the things they wont understand
3. Give them a couple of minutes to talk in their groups about how confident they are with each answer.
4. Start the auction
5. Students have to bid for the answers they think are true
6. team with highest bid wins the answer
7. repeat this for all 10 questions
8. Make a note of which team has won each answer
8. Show answer powerpoint, each true answer is worth 1 point
9. Team which has won the most bids for true answers wins the game.
Sounds complicated but if you break the instructions up its very easy to follow and very very fun!
I used the powerpoint from previous post and just changed it a bit, sorry but i cannot remeber whose it was!
