Hey there everyone.

I make these for each chapter and will try and get all of them posted. I go over the new vocabulary for each chapter with the children. They write the Korean underneath each word and then glue this into their English notebooks. They fill in the blanks for the Look and Listen. For homework they have to write 10 of the words three times each in both English and Korean.

Here is the dialogue that they need to fill in for the Listen and Speak section. I have them fill this out, glue it into their English notebooks and then practice the dialogues with a friend. They have to memorize one and then perform it for me.

Here is a card game that is for 5th grade ch. 9 Whose Boat Is This?

Rules: The rules are the same as "Go Fish."

Materials: A deck of playing cards and the ppt (one deck of cards for a group of 4-7 students)

The game is easy but the rules may need some translation from your co-teacher. Be sure to show your co-teacher how to play in advance.

This is a Picture worksheet for 5th Grade Ch. 9

Students should look at the picture and complete the missing questions and answers.

Students will then work with a partner. Each student will draw the new listed items in the worksheet's picture. Students will learn about their partner's picture and discover who is the owner of the new items. Students will ask their partners "whose ______ is this?" Their partner will say "it's ______'s _________." The student will then write the owner's name on his/her worksheet.

Materials: Worksheet and ppt ( the answers are on the second slide)

This is a short bomb game. It is good for reviewing at the end of the lesson.

Students must memorize objects and their owners. Students will say the question together. And then they must guess who is the owner by saying "it's _____'s _______."

Here is a betting game to play for "Yours or Mine".
Break class up into teams. Each team gets 20 points to start out with. They must look at the picture on the screen and decide whether the object is YOURS or MINE and bet some of their points on their answer.
Write each teams answer and bets on the board. Once everyone has completed the bet, show them the answer.

The team who guessed correctly doubles their betted points and it gets added to their total.
If a team guessed incorrectly, they lose the points they betted and it gets taken off their total score.

Team with the most points in the end is the winner.

Here's the kimchi bandit 3! Along with a worksheet for 5th grade (and we included 6th grade key expressions this time too, which we really should have done the whole time... oh well!) It's 20 minutes long, so... makes for an easy week! Also the worksheets have answer keys this time around...

I.... don't know what to say... I'm in tears over here... The epicness is overwhelming.... I never thought... but it did... It got better... and better.... unbelievable... 10/10...5 stars... loved the star wars reference near the end....

Just a quick note about this ppt. Most of the Kpop songs are kinda old; 1-4 years old. The kids will probably know them but I just wanted to let those who don't know a lot about Kpop know that there are no recent songs. Also, one of the slides is of MC Mong and right now he is not very popular because he is going to jail for draft dodging.

Still an excellent ppt!

I will use the 'whose song is this' ppt. I used it last year with 5th graders, and they knew all the answers, and sang along.
Before the game, I will show the ppt attatched, to explain the sentence structure in a fun way.

Here is a little worksheet I created for the first class (two per page).

Students must fill in the sheet as the PPT is explained in class. This PPT is one that I've slightly modified from the one I found last year.

Example:

내 것/ 내 배 --> mine / my boat
