Waygook's webserver has been upgraded, and users should notice a significant performance increase during peak site hours.  We will continue to monitor the servers for some time to ensure it meets the needs of the growing user base.  Thank you from the waygook team :)

Welcome to the Waygook community forums.  Feel free to browse the site, and sign up for a free account to have access to lesson plans.  Waygook is geared towards EFL/ESL teachers in South Korea, however we do like to cater and help out fellow waygookins all over.  We are also on facebook for convenience.

Easter Lesson
« on: April 21, 2011, 03:56:27 PM »
So the two Power Points I stole from other teachers on Waygook. I can't take credit for them at all, though I did modify them a bit, because I thought there were a few mistakes. The clip on one of them is a clip from the Colbert Report, where he talks about the "Attack on Easter" It may or may not be suitable for your classes. I am however doing this lesson with my after school class, they are high level, and only 10 of them, so I can explain the clip in full. It's funny! The other is a link to the first part of "It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown". There are 3 parts, but at the end of the first part, you can easily find the second and third part. I explain the characters, and then they are to do the worksheet while watching the clip. Also, I"m going to hide chocolates around the room, and let them go on an Easter egg hunt, even though they're not chocolate eggs...oh well.

Sorry, but what are the differences between these PPTs and the original? I compared both and don't see any...

With my after school classes last week, I introduced Easter with a PPT posted by another user, and we made Easter baskets (template originally posted by another user -- attached below). This week we're having an Easter candy hunt (I couldn't find chocolate eggs), and we're decorating and dying real eggs. Here's the PPT I made to explain the instructions to them.^^

I said I changed them a bit, not drastically, but if you can't see the differences...I really can't help you.
