Hey everyone! I started my process on teaching English in Korea. Hopefully if all goes well I will be there in August. I wanted to know if anyone here who is in Korea or plans on teaching in Korea has a blog to share! Hopefully, of their experiences or any other trivial things (related and non related to Korea) . Maybe we would be able to befriend each other here?

I know there are plenty of blogs on this. I figured it would be better if it were actual people who came on here. It makes it more personal that way (in my opinion).

If you do have a blog to share please post! I think it would be great if we all responded and kept up with each others blogs.

I always wanted to start a blog and at the beginning of the year I did just that. Im no writer but i speak about my experiences in South Korea and I think that for any new epic it would allow them to see what they could get themselves into. All situations are different but mine was a shocker at first. ITS GREAT NOW!

My wife and I keep a blog so that our family back home can keep up to date with what we're doing. It's mostly my wife's writing...lots of stuff on eating in Korea, where to get Western creature comforts (Mexican food, thrifts stores, etc), posts on a few of the festivals we've been to. We've been keeping a blog since we've been here. We're in a small town in the middle of Korea called Boeun. Famous for it's "production of full-flavoured jujubes" and housing "one of the nation's satellite communications Earth centres", one blogger has even wrote:

"If any teachers actually didn't research their job locations, and ended up stuck in Boeun for a year, I think I would die from laughing. I bet it's happened!"

Please read our blog so we can put Boeun firmly back on the South Korean map. You never know, you may even die from laughing.
