(YBM Si-Sa) Grade 4 - Review
« on: May 10, 2011, 01:41:10 pm »
I'm teaching the Review 1 part of the textbook, I will be using the black out idea from the book but will use my own worksheet and I have also made a board game.
I have attached the board game but will attach the PPT and other game later. You could also do a review test, but my Co teacher did that last lesson.
If anyone has made any materials for the Review section why not post here too :)

These games are in the supermario bomb game (4th) templates. It includes questions/info from various bomb games I've gotten from waygook.org. Hope you can use for review!

[Mod edit - Removed the 3rd grade items to make this thread specifically about 4th grade review lessons for the YBM Si-Sa book]

Earlier I scanned all of the pictures in the back of the Grade 4 YBM Si-Sa student textbook.  I'm sorry that it took me so long to post them.  You can use them to make explanations of the activity instructions, review, test, etc.  Have fun creating.

I have made a review, using a Mario bomb game that I grabbed from Waygook (Thanks!), based on lessons 6, 7 and 8.
I hope this comes in handy!

Here is a couple things prepared to use before Review 7-9 board game in the book. Thank you to all those that I borrowed the materials from. I cannot take credit for it, just put it all together. I gave out candy for the questions because it was Halloween. You do not have to!!

Review Crossword for Grade 4 (YBM Si-Sa, textbook with Monty) All Chapters

Mega review crossword. All the answers are in their books. The 12 image questions all come from the Look and Read or Read and Write (one per chapter) and most of the others you'll find in the song lyrics. 10 across may challenge the poor readers. For any students who finish early, there's a wordsearch included that uses the crossword answers, and a hidden code in the leftover letters. This in turn poses another riddle for the students to answer. This should take an entire class basically after warm ups. I'll probably combine it with a class round of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (one mistake and we move on, just like the show) to give the students a last ditch chance of getting any leftover reward scheme points though.

There are a total of 25 questions.

The PDF and Word document are identical. The missing fonts are mandatory for the Word doc to print correctly though as they are what puts blanks in the sentences. These fonts are linked below as per usual or you can just print the PDF.

This took about 4 classes. We gave each student a print out and they had to make their own role play with their group using the key expressions, we used the masks from the Story Time section to get the students to be creative. My CT also went around and quizzed them, saying the phrase in Korean and having the students answer in English.  :D

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Game for YBM Si-Sa's Grade 4 text with Monty.

Reviews all 12 chapters. I nabbed the template from another game so my apologies on the lack of credit. If you need ideas on how you could play...

Personally, my plan is to use this at the end to give the students a last ditch chance to make up any leftover reward scheme points they need. The whole class will play together as one team, but they will also be divided into 3 groups. For each question, one group will try to answer it. The other two groups are required to be quiet. Cheating will see the game cut. The "Ask the Audience" lifeline will allow them to ask the other teams for help. "Phone a Friend" will give them a minute to talk to their homeroom teacher. "50:50" is 50:50. One loss and the game is over at their last milestone figure. Their reward scheme prizes will be of the ratio of 0:1:2:4 for reaching the milestones of $0, $1000, $32000 and $1000000 respectively.
