Amazing Places Around The World
« on: November 18, 2010, 08:19:38 am »
Here's a ppt with some cool places from around the world. You could have students describe the photos, guess where they are from, talk about the future or the past, please use it to fit the level of your class!

Perhaps I was in a rush to post the original, it was a bit shoddy...

Hey Harry, I like this but I'm a little bothered that the resolution/quality of the pictures is so low. Maybe it's just me but I think it really takes away from the "wow!" factor of an image, and that's important when this kind of presentation is really dependent on that.

My input would also be to correct the spelling for next to the last slide.  "Isreal" should be "Israel."

I hate to jump on; but bigger resolution images would certainly be nicer.

When you search Google images - look on the left and select 'large'.  The photos that come up will have a very big resolution.

This has been done to death by foreign teachers on here. I am not sure that you bring anything new.

Rufus don't worry about it. I appreciate any advice. Creeper run with it, make it better, make it original, unique. There could be a ancient/modern building section, there could be a natural wonders section, there could be more words or facts...The idea is there make it your own.

Though I agree this PPT isn't of the best quality, I think some of the comments above are damaging to the aims of this site. We shouldn't discourage anybody from submitting to Waygook.org.

Perhaps if you don't like it, just don't comment.

I agree with this statement.
