In the left hand column on PPT, right click on any slide.
2nd from the bottom should be 'slide transition' - I don't have Korean PPT, sorry.
Click it.

A box should appear in the right column of your screen.
Toward the bottom of the column there should be a timer, perhaps set to 8 or 10 seconds, with a ticked box to its left.
Unclick this box (automatically after) and click the box above it (on mouse click) if you want to stop the presentation playing automatically all together.
If you just want to make it slower, perhaps set the timer to 12 or 15 seconds per slide...

I do hope that helps...

I'm doing this reindeer popup with 6th grade.

It's really fun and not as complex as wikihow makes it out to be.

Really well, best thing I have done in ages. The boys were really into it as well as the girls, and I always have trouble engaging the boys.

I made an example and stuck it to the card with magnets instead of glue so I could really pull it apart and put it back together show them how the pieces connected, I think that helped.

Last year we made small paper boxes using this template:

http://www.paperscrapz.screentastic.ca/box%20templates/butterflyboxpattern.pdf

students first colour, and write a message on the bottom of the box, then cut it out.  when they have finished they ask me for a chocolate, which they can put in their box and give to a friend.
I used a timer so the students had to budget their time to finish their box in time to ask me for a chocolate.  Without a timer, they never seem to finish...

Emilyteacher, how do you make a box from this template? Are there instructions anywhere? I'm trying, but it isn't square. Am I just 3D shape challenged?  ???

Never mind... I think I just worked it out. Turns out I am 3D shape challenged. :)

hey vitamin-d, great job on the story and powerpoint, it looks awesome!

quick logistics question about the game though:

how does a team get coal?

does the first team to answer get the gift (multiplied by the number at the beginning of the slide), and all other teams get coal?

or is the plan for all teams to answer at once, golden bell-style, and the correct ones get gifts while the wrong teams get coal?

this part was a little confusing to me.

thanks!

Hey vitamin d! I have used your game with all my classes this week and it is a big hit!! The boys loved the Grinch and they started to gang up on other teams. Not much Christmas spirit there but alot of fun! Thanks for your beautiful Christmas Stories and the Countdown powerpoint. It was well loved by all (especially me!)
Merry Christmas to you!

I used the hand print Chrismtas tree idea with a class and the kids LOVED it! I had premade a bunch of hands to make the tree as big as possible, as well as a tree topper (so they wouldn't fight about who got to make it). I also prepared a bunch of colouring sheets of ornaments for the tree, so each kids got a hand print, an ornament, a candle and present under the tree (all cut out before the class). I used several kinds of green paper found at local craft stores and a piece of brown felt for the stump. If I had had more time, I would have used more hands to make the tree bigger.

I'm attaching my file with all the colouring images. It was a lot of cutting a glueing but it was sooooo worth it!

(I didn't let any of the kids use the scissors or glue in my class, knowing what a disaster that would turn into...)

Thinking back, to improve the tree I would have premade a tree shape cut-out from green paper to fill in with the hands.

It's hard to tell from the images posted but the end result is actually about a meter tall!

I've simplified (debeautified?) the story ppt significantly.  I nixed the fancy fonts, sounds and transitions and moved pictures so that they were no longer layered underneath text.  I also threw in some pictures/annotations/comprehension questions that felt pertinent.
