Decent motivation video for a party - Pluto's Party from 1952 - I think I'll play up until ~2:36
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_ox2BAV-y8
Also attached a Missing Dialogue game - ideal for section 3 (reading), but I made if for section 2 because there aren't a lot of options so far. Strays just a wee bit away from the book on a few sentences, and into the land of NATURAL english god forbid.
EDIT: attached a speed game for 5th period review - includes some stuff from the past two lessons as well for re-review.

Here's a short taboo game I made to introduce the theme of the lesson. At the end, the students have to guess the connection between all of the words, i.e. parties.

In our class, we are making party invitations with colored paper and colored pencils. I made up a VERY simple template to give them ideas and also so they can write the main expressions for this lesson.
Attached is the party invitation template.

When I saw that this chapter didn't have a thread yet I looked in other books with similar chapters and found some good stuff.
This is an intro ppt that I found and edited heavily to incorporate this book's vocabulary and key expressions. My students seemed to like it. Credit to the original creator for the theme and fancy graphics and stuff...
For a game I did a really easy Telephone Game where I split the class in half and made them stand and form two lines. My co-teacher and I each belong to 1 team and we stand at the back of the line and at the same time we both whisper the same sentence (based off this chapter, so something like "Would you like to come to my party?") to 1 student. Then each student goes down the line and whispers it to the next and so on. The last student has to run to the board and write down the sentence. Whoever writes it first and gets it correctly gets a point for their team. My students really loved it and got really competitive!

Catch the words activity using key sentences from periods 1-3.
Review PPT. Split the class in two and have Ss ask and answer according to the pictures (use an X & O paddle for the response).
Simple gap fill and role play.

Here are two short PPTs with GIFs. The first introduces the different types of parties. The second can be used to talk about 'That's all right'.

Here are two things I made for this chapter. The first one is a ppt for students to guess the party. I used it the opening day. I described the party and had students guess the name. I then used the invitation and asked when is the party to review and practice dates.
The second one is a practice speaking ppt. It reviews the would you like to... expression and also the use of so.. It then gives a practice dialoge. I normally split the class in half for that part

Here is a reading board game I made for the 3rd period of this lesson. Many thanks to whoever had made the original template!

My KT gave me this template made by someone, and I just made a simple review of the sentences, but focused mainly on the invitation part.

My co-teacher found this video and it cracked the students up just as much as it cracked me up, which is to say: very much.

Standard PPT picture guessing game. Enjoy!
Just added the same PPT, fixed it. They both are fine, just depends if you want the pictures to show after the words come up.

Line Bingo Activity: Just print out the slides and cut. I let each student draw one slip of paper from a magic hat instead of just handing them out. I used for first period for listening and learning different parties. Great for a 5 minute filler.
Rules: After slips are distributed, I say: "Would you like to come to my pool party?" If the picture for pool party is on either end of their strip of paper, they can rip it off or X it out. Continue in this fashion saying different parties where a student can only cut/mark out the picture if it's on the end of their slip. First one to get to the middle yells bingo and rejoices with their newly acquired tantalizing piece of candy!
For practice of the phrase: "Sure, I'd love to." I had students yell it out if the party I said was on either end.
