Just a modified listening activity I made for this chapter.

First, watch this youtube video:


Watch again, this time pausing after each pumpkin's audition. Ask kids simple questions about what each pumpkin can and  can't do.

Finally, hand out simple worksheet. Students watch the video and cross out or circle each picture.

Took about 20 minutes and seemed to work for all levels in my class. Nothing fancy! Thanks to others who posted this video earlier in the thread.

Here's a song and video I made for teaching can/can't. My students have had tons of fun with it. I split them into three groups: each group takes one verse and is responsible for creating a dance to go along with it.

The attachments: slide show so you can teach it at a slower pace and a printable version of the lyrics.
