Again, I've taken JHarris' lesson and split it into two parts. I've changed a few basic things, but it largely remains his (brilliant) work.

Part A: I tagged a Scattegories game at the end--which my kids loved. I used some Scrabble tiles to pick letters. I split the class into four teams and had them elect a best writer to write their teams answers. Once time was up, I had them yell out their answers for each category. Unique answers got 2 points, answers that occurred more than once got one point. The writers for each team kept track of that.

Part B: I added a bit more of an explanation of the word carnivore, and some pictures after that--the basic idea being that the kids have to tell me if that animal is a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore. I threw in a hot seat activity downloaded from another user here, with some of our themed "amazing animals" peppered into it. So far it's gone over pretty well.

Hi Jharris! The yu gi oh bomb game looks fantastic, and I'd like to use it for my class! But when I download it, the game has many errors on my computer and the graphics don't show. Could you possibly reattach the game?
Thank you

listening activities with embedded sound files in the PPT.

These activities are directly from the textbook (my co-teacher insists that I use the textbook activity)
In the PPT is a "where's waldo" picture.
Print and hand out the picture to small teams just as a fun break in-between listening exercises.

if you have time, you can play the Strange Animal Quiz game.
Have students write their answers on scrap paper.

Warning: This lesson is not ready-to go out of the box. I personalized some of the slides to mention school-specific information, which I have edited out. You'll need to enter your own info.

This is a review of lessons 1-3. My co-teacher specifically asked for things to be presented in almost the same way as in the lesson. Because of this, some things are included in this lesson which I do not think are helpful, but I'm leaving them in for the sake of completeness. Also included is a (rather dramatic) bomb game using the expressions and vocab from these lessons. It's batman-themed due to the new Batman vs. Superman movie that was announced..

I hope it helps someone!

Thanks for everyone's previous posts!!! Here are my adapted versions.

Part 1  - warm up - unscramble previous lessons vocab. Fill in the gaps attached for dialog

Part 2 - tongue twister warm up.

Guessing game at the end - I got everyone to vote for their answer and put the numbers on the board but could make a team game as well.

Updated versions attached:
Part 1 - memory game added if you have time plus worksheet
Part 2 - same game as old version option or bingo plus bingo boards (practice responses - Yes, that's interesting/No, that's not interesting )
Different dialog worksheet
