Lesson 9:

Most of this is JHarris' lesson. But I added:
- More alternate expressions
- an additional exercise for "What do you mean by that"
- a related, but tangent slide meant to get the kids talking
- embedded the dialogue video
- added a fun video related to one of the vocabulary words
- Added some space-based facts at the end to keep the kids talking (wasn't quite finished with this)

I had to try do as much as this lesson as possible, because of Year 3 Finals coming up so it is a super simple lesson.

Attached is a simple quiz at the end for my class BUT they really enjoyed it for some strange reason.
Here are a few more Quiz questions you can add: http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/quizzes/space.html

What I did is I gave each group a white board and marker to write the questions on. Gave them 1 point if they wrote the planet in Korean and 2 points for the English answer.

I also showed this video when I started my class. Wanderers - a short film by Erik Wernquist: (Korean subtitles)

I have adapted some of the content already on here so thanks to the contributors.

Part 1 - short video where the moon is replaced by all the planets and scale of the universe website / introduction / listen & speak from textbook / optional dialog vocab if you get time/ bingo / back up unscramble

Part 2 - warm up is 'Name the planets' and there is also a link to a youtube video where it zooms out and then back into earth / dialog vocab and worksheet activity / space themed running dictation

I used non-textbook dialog for this activity so there couldn't be any cheating and the drawing activity is used to test comprehension. The gallery at the end and revealing the picture to them is really fun!
