My school is really strict about making sure I do the activities in the textbook. I typically teach two pages of the textbook per class, and I see each class once a week. I'm only responsible for teaching the listen and speak pages and bring together. The second week, I try to do my own activity in addition to the book. On the first week, I show a powerpoint and go over whatever the grammar or key phrases are for the chapter. The doc that's attached was the advice activity I played. I assigned each of the students a problem. They had 4 different partners and filled in the blanks on their papers. After they finished speaking to one partner, they exchanged problems with that partner and moved on to a new person. I wanted them each to practice reading different problems and not stick with the same one. At the bottom of the sheet is some discussion about how to save the world that my school requested I discuss if there is time. Hope this helps!

I've covered advice giving in Lesson 3 so I'm focusing a little more on the Earth and its environment.

I first ask the students what they think the unit title "Save the Earth" means, then go through the first Listen and Speak. From section C, I work through with the students why the practice examples are actually helpful (save energy-resources/trees-CO2).

The attached PPT is adapted from the third year unit (thanks to the original creator!).  I give students the worksheet during the PPT but most of them don't answer anything until after.  My Co T has them come up and verify their answers with me before she stamps their work.

I want to do a toss the ball speaking game but so far haven't had time for it.  I would start with the topic recycle, toss a ball (or crumpled, used piece of paper), and the student that catches would have to name an item that can be recycled, preferable stating "you should recycle...".  I might fit this exercise in next class.

I've tweaked Epistemology's ppt a bit, but I loved the Good Advice / Bad Advice game. To jazz it up a bit I printed out some angel and devil tokens, stuck some double-sided tape on the back, and then had the students wear them. It was a fun activity.

Also, attached to this post is my ppt for the Focus on Sounds section, along with a Zebra song which repeats the 'z' sound.

That song, FFS!
I am agog, I lost it at 'african herbivore'.

Anyway,
here's a board game and jigsaw.

Enjoy.

To practice the dialogues in this lesson, I made some headbands with popular Korean celebrities on them (Suzy, IU, Lee Jongseok, and Do Kyungsoo). Then I had them take turns picking a celebrity to read the dialogues in the attached pppt I made as. At the end of the powerpoint, there is are six questions. The students can choose which question they want to answer. After every student had submitted their answers in six different cups, I went through each problem and drew and read a possible solution. :)

The other activity is just a simple telepathy game, and the worksheet to accompany it.

This chapter's theme is about the environment (pretty obvious).

This is a power point I made to introduce students to the 3R's (reduce, reuse, recycle).  I used it after teaching listen& speak 2.  I was happily surprised that lots of great questions and speaking ended up stemming from the power point.  I'd recommend starting conversations about the ocean trash island and about what you can make from recycled goods.  The kids were really entertained by the recycled clothing- t-shirts made from plastic bags and dresses made from old cassette tape film (after I explained what cassettes are...sigh).

For the 2nd half of the grammar in this chapter...using infinitives with and without "to."

I asked the students to fold the paper on the line in order to focus solely on the top half for starters. (This helps prevent overwhelmed feelings induced by a grammar worksheet. )
