Here is a colour guessing game I made. :) We did it in groups of 4. Each group got a set of colour flashcards. I asked 'What colour is it?' and each group had a turn to hold up a flash card and say 'It's....'. They got points for correct answers.

Our period 2. We focused on "What colour is it?" "It's (colour)." or "It's a (colour) (thing)."
First is a listening game (fly swatter game)
Next is a snakes and ladders game (modified from a game posted on here earlier.)
Finally a story to calm them down again.

I made this for the old book last year, still works great this year.

Show the pictures for a second or two, then click again. Ask the kids the colors of specific items. Use motions for hard vocabulary words.

I showed this to my students. I sped it up to about 2.5 ~ 3x speed and then we practiced saying and spelling the colors while watching the video.

Then I gave them some magnetic letters and we did some speed spelling with the names of colors.

This Storytime story is a bit...underwhelming, so I searched for something else. Here are two other possibilities:

1) I found this little video by British Council. My class didn't act it out; we just listened and then I asked them some questions.

Two homework sheets for the topic.
The first focuses on full sentences saying the color of something (single object),

the second reviews the verb "to be", has spelling practice, "blue and red make purple" type sentences, and dips into plurals and "The bike is red" vs "the bikes are red" etc.

I spy phonics game!

Each round I say what the word starts with and students can ask what color it is.
When you click on the object it disappears, if they answer correctly the object will have a star behind it for +1 point.

I am playing teacher vs. students and they get a maximum of two guesses each round.
