Just a basic template for key expressions. You need to put pics of your family in.

If you don't want to use your family you can also use the Simpsons - I attached a picture of their family tree - so you could work it into the same template or make something new.

Attached is my intro ppt. Got the key phrases and Korean translation!

*Note I HAVE NOT had the Korean Checked. Yes it's super simple but, I'm half asleep and sure I made a mistake. My co has left for the day and will check it Monday morning.
I'll update it if there are changes.

Also attached is a matching game with the Simpsons pictures.
I got it from bulgasari from the (YBM Si-Sa) Grade 3, Lesson 11 - "Who is He?" . I made some changes put in the pictures for review so the kids knew what pictures they would see, and a few key phrases. So then my kids had a better idea of what to do.

**EDIT I updated my intro ppt. My classes were struggling with 'my', 'he', 'she'. I added in a few extra slides to help clear up, it's nothing special except giving them a visual while we practice the concepts verbally over and over.
I also threw in a section with photos of me and my family so the kids had to ask "Who is ____"
I took out the photos you can put in your own. My kids really got excited with my showing family photos. Suddenly they got real serious about making the he/she right haha

I made this print out for my lower level kids. Taught them the key phrases and meanings before we learn this lesson in class. That way they already have an idea as to what's going on.
I don't think I will use it for my grade three classes unless they seem to be really struggling with the concept.

But here it is for you.
As always DOUBLE CHECK THE KOREAN!! Last week when I was preparing to teach this subject to my lower level kids one of the worksheets i downloaded had a very inappropriate word for female in Korean. Thus I made my own worksheet instead.

I also have a Simpsons ppt; this one uses pictures and sentences to define and illustrate all the relationships. It also contains a "Secret Window" game and two rounds of matching. REMOVED

The second one is a Bingo game with a random selection screen, taken from the od textbook's thread, though I've updated the pics (not Simpsons). REMOVED

Here is an intro ppt including new vocabulary and expressions, as well as a slide for partner practice. The Listen and Play slides are from the game in the book. I will be using the Listen and Play Option game, not the primary game. The review slides at the end are of my family, so you would have to insert photos of your own family there.

Rock Scissors Paper game. Play in pairs, each student plays on one board. They play RSP and the winner gets the chance to answer the dialogue indicated on the paper. There are some family members from MES flashcards and some of the Simpsons characters posted in this thread.

Here is another Power Point slideshow that uses a Simpsons theme. It introduces the words mom, dad, brother, sister, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle and cousin, and puts them in context of "He/She's my [blank]." Assume the student is Maggie, and ask the class who each of the people are (to Maggie).

This song can be used for teaching family member names as well as Who is. This song will help students get use to the two words Who is, and then introduce contractions, who's.

Tip: I eased my students into this lesson by reviewing the 3 be verbs, introducing he/she and going around the classroom asking how old is he/she? He/She is 10 years old.
