This class was used in my A-Level classes. I had the students work in groups and had to write to a script complaining about a topic and apologizing.
I wrote different things middle schoolers complain about (i.e parents, siblings, teachers, etc...) and each group had to pick one (rock, paper, scissors!)

I don't have much time to spend on this lesson before the students' final exams, so I threw together a very basic .ppt that introduces the the key sentences for the lesson with a couple of examples.

Two simple activities to help flesh out this thread a bit.
One is a "Pass the Bomb" for a quick review after doing textbook speaking parts. You will need to change one of the slides to more accurately reflect your school's location.
The second is a set of complaint cards I found on another site. I intend to use them and have my third grade students write simple dialogs based on the contents of the card they choose.
Thanks to the previous contributors here for their material.

Hi, I added Speaking A, Real Life Scene, the Language Focus (for reported speech vs. direct speech), and the chapter's song activity: Raindrops keep falling on my head. Thank you to the previous contributors.

Had to speed through the listening parts for this chapter in 1 lesson, to get it all done before their final exams. So it's a much more teacher-centered than it should be.
I gave them the worksheet, and the numbers correspond to the red numbers in the PPT slides. They write as the questions come up on the PPT.
Ended off with Apples to Apples - partially for review from the previous chapter, partially covering some vocab from this lesson, and partially just for laughs.

Over two weeks, I cover the listen and speak pages in the textbook. The first week, I do listening exercises along with a short activity. The second week, I do the Speak section and the Real-Life Scene and I usually have time for a longer activity. Both weeks are included in one PPT. I have attached the PPT and the worksheets I used. Thank you to the previous posters for their material.
I did this whole lesson in one class. I use the zoomed in pictures as a warmer and then I played a pass the bomb game. The students love this, everyone gets involved, even the students with almost no English still want to pass the ball. For the ball, I just scrunched up some paper from the recycling bin.
