Go Fish for Speaking Class - cards and student instructions in the same ppt. Uses some of the sentences like "making rockets" from Lesson 2 so that there are more cards. I think I will print 34 cards per group (2.5 pages) so there will be 15 pieces of paper and then glue backing paper on them so they're not transparent.

Lesson 4 review ppt which my CT found and I edited a little. Let's read from the book with levels (more words blocked out each time). I did not make the boxes disappear this time as I usually do. Sorry. :/ Also, a stand up game (not sure if my CT made it or just changed the sentences). So, thanks to anyone who might have posted these.

How we used it - After our usual warm ups and checking HW, we reviewed with the ppt. We then did the let's read ppt. I read the first time and students listened and then students read the Level 0-3 sentences and fill in the left out words. We then have students practice individually and practice reading as fast as they can. Meanwhile, me and my CT help students who can't read well or students who raise their hands for pronunciation help. Then we do a speed reading challenge. We used 15 seconds for this one - so we practice speed reading together and then students can raise their hands and try to read it in under 15 seconds. If they can, they get a stamp. I'm always surprised by how into it some classes get.

Students then answer the questions on the next page of the book about the reading and we check answers.

For the game, instructions are in Korean, but basically, you divide students into groups of at least 7 (we did 3 groups of 7/8 depending on class size). Everyone reads the sentence together once and then the teacher says "3,2,1, Go!" students can choose if they want to say the sentence and stand or not say anything and sit. We count how many people stood on each team and then the next slide shows a number. If the number matches the number of people standing, the team gets a point. It also says in the Korean rules that if no team has the right number, the closest number gets a point. 6, and less often 7 come up a few times, so students will have to speak sometimes if they want to get points for there team. I don't think we had any students who sat the whole time without other students hassling them to stand.

Cannot take credit for the game template but massive thanks to the creator of it. Here is an Angry Birds Space game with a bunch of fun animated gif's that I found and copied. My kids had a lot of fun playing...hope it can help someone...

Here is word scramble game. Students can work individually, in pairs, or in teams. The ppt has scrambled words from Lesson 4. Students work to unscramble the words and can use white boards/paper/just call out the answers. I have a class set of small white boards so I'm going to show a scrambled word and then have pairs write the unscrambled word on their boards for points.

This is a Pokemon Word Lotto Game. Basically it's a writing game. The students have to write and guess the answer.

I also added a reading clapping game.

1. Comic example / instructions

2. Blank comic for students

3. Writing practice PPT instructions
Students can use the phone image in the back of their book, or the teacher can print out the monkey phone :) The monkey phone worksheet has the title, and place for students to write in their name / class

4. Monkey phone  :P
It's in black and white...you can copy the image from the PPT if you want a color version

5. Board game

6. Review and board game instructions

7. Spin game
You'll have to print out the images on the 2nd slide and make the spinners
