Lesson 5 worksheet - vocab, key sentences and gap fill for Look & Listen and Listen & Say.

Word drop game - made from a template. Best used for periods 4 or 5 as it's a reading/writing game.

This is a Noblesse Battleroom Game. It's similar to battle ship. However, you only check off one item per room. I recommend printing the worksheet double sided or putting it in a sheet protector.

Hot Seat Game. Skills: Reading, Speaking, Listening, Identifying. Rules: Students are in teams. One student from team sits in hot seat in front of TV/screen/projector/etc. A word is shown on screen and hot seat student cannot see it. Team must give clues to guess the word. Once the student guesses (or passes) the next teammate comes up. I give the teams 2 minutes each for each round.

Here is a ppt of just images of children around the world and their bedrooms. They're from the book "Where Children Sleep" by photographer James Mollison. I haven't taught it yet, but I am planning on using it as a warmer - if you google you can find a few articles that talk about some of the pictures and the children who are in them if you want to have a more of a conversation with your kids about it.

Enjoy!

Grammar PPTs and lyrics for students to illustrate. I scanned their drawings and made a PPT for them to sing along to. It worked well :)

Printable dice game

Print out the paper dice and prepare them for the students.
Students play in pairs.
S1 rolls the dice with the room images on it.
S2 rolls the dice with the furniture images, then asks, "Is there a ... in the ...?"
S1 rolls their 2nd dice, which has answers on it (yes there is / no there isn't / etc)
If the answer is yes, S2 gets a point
Then switch  ;D

English drop

Writing game where students play in groups of 4.
Words will drop down the screen, and teams have to write down the correct expressions. 1st team to finish (with no errors) gets a point.
