Four Corners
Divide the class into 4 corners. Ss get 10 secs. to walk to a corner. After the 10 secs, they should say the key sentence: I like _____. OR Why do you like _____? After each corner has said it, click. The ones who missed the bombs can continue to the next round. The ones who got bombs, sit down. Play until there is only one left. If there are more slides, the class can play again.
Baskin Robbins
Divide the class into teams of 6 students or fewer. There are 6 rounds to this game so each student should get a least one turn. Some might get more if there are fewer than 6 per team.
For each round, let one student from each team come to the front. They stand in a row facing the TV screen. Each student can choose to read 1~3 words. I.e. one student can choose to read one word, or she may read two or she may read three.
Start at the left end of the row until everyone had a chance, then start again at the left end and continue like this until there is only one word left. The student who reads the last word, may choose an ice cream. The ice creams lead to slides that say either: you lose/ you win/ rock-paper-scissors. For the first one it is -1, for the 2nd it is +1, for the last, the student may do rock-paper-scissors with another team member to switch points. If none of the teams have any points, then that is just bad luck and then rock-paper-scissors is not necessary.
