I've just tweaked Sprite06 excellent ppt for the old book for Lesson 1 intro and Lesson 2 review. You'll have to allow "enable contact" on lesson 2 review activate the Youtube links.
Similarly, I've just slightly amended the coin flick game from someone else's great work.

Here's a simple game using the cards in the back of the book. It's kind of based on the card game 31, if you know what I'm talking about.

The goal is to get 3 of a kind.
Have 3-4 kids (preferably 4) in a group and have them tear out and mix their cards.
Deal 3 to each student. Put the rest of the cards in a pile in the middle and turn one card over to face up.
The 1st student then choses to take the card that is faced up on the table or choose a new card from the pile.
You always have to discard one card, as to always have 3 cards.
The student will ask "whose ____ is this?" when discarding.
If the next player wants the card, they say "it's mine" and pick the card up. If not, they say "it's not mine" and choose one from the pile.
Then they discard asking the "whose ____is this?" question.
Then the next player goes, etc.etc.
As soon as they have 3 of the same card they will announce it for the win.

It's pretty simple to explain, an alternative to go fish, and they really like it. It's easy to adapt to many chapters too. My kids go crazy for card games.

Introduction PPT for Lesson 5 with worksheet for students to write down meanings of new words and expressions from the lesson.  Also contains an exercise to practice the new words in sentences.

You're welcome.

Modified Tara Albert's contribution on a similar thread. I will be using this as one of my activities for Speak and Read .....  Attached instruction PPT and handout. Work in pairs to complete dialogue, share with group. The group will choose one dialogue to present to the class.

Took a Mario Bros bomb game template I found on here and updated the slides for this chapter. Went over quite well with the kids.

A grid game for speaking

A Nunchi game for reading

Word Lotto for writing

Word Lotto - I get students to choose and write three words from the screen. They get one point for each matching word

EDIT!!!! - I am an idiot. I wrote "Who's" instead of Whose. I have corrected this and re-uploaded the ppts :-[

writing scavenger hunt.

I taped the papers all over the room. One piece of paper for each team. The team has to go find the paper with the sentence written incorrectly, then write the sentence the correct way and go find the next paper. My students love this game and make sure they take turns finding the sentence strips and writing the sentences.

@NStonecypher

Thank you! You did much of the work putting it together.
I took yours and re-scaled some images as well as get rid of the most of the white background on the pictures.

A few incorrect names for the answer pages, but changed those. Thank you again for sharing :)

Thanks NStonecypher for the response :)

@YourFriendBen

I actually wasn't the creator! I forgot to mention that so sorry to whoever the original creator was :) I found some old lessons that were similar to this one and reposted them. Good luck with your open class! you did a good job fixing it up! I totally forgot to check the names on the PPT. Thank you!
