First activity is another poster's idea.  Each card has a question and answer, give every student a random card. The first student asks the question and the student with the matching answer replies. That student then asks their question and so on, going around the room.

For extra fun, try and beat the timer, or compare time scores with other classes etc My students love this.

The second is a game called 'Leapfrog'. Instruction are in the PowerPoint. You can play the game on strips of paper (one strip between two students) and/or use the cards from the textbook like the picture below.

Finally a simple telepahy writing game

TOUR GUIDE ACTIVITY:

4 stations who are tour guides at different locations, like Jeju, Paris, New York, London.

... print these pictures. (SEE PDF) The activity will be like this:

1) There are 4 tour guides. The rest are travellers.

2) The tour guides each set up at one table. The rest line up, 3 per table.

3) The tour guide asks Do You Want to (e.g.) go snorkeling? Ride a horse? etc (Jeju)
The traveller says "Yes, I do," and writes it down on his travel plan, or says "No, I don't." He can choose only 2 things.

4) Then the traveller goes to the next tour guide and waits in line for his turn.

5) They go to each tour guide until their vacation travel plan is filled out.

6) They go back to their groups. They practice by themselves saying "I want to go snorkeling, ride a horse, etc."

7) When all the group memebers have returned the group asks each member "What do you want to do?" They answer: In New York, I want to watch a baseball game. I want to.. etc." On Jeju, I want to ... etc.

8) Ask for people who want to present... the tour guides. And the second group activity.

It's modified a bit for reading clarity.

Thanks to whoever originally came up with this game, my students love it.

Word search for lesson one. Post the first page of the PPT to give the kids clues and use the second page to print.

Zombie virus activity

part 1. worksheet - Ss asks 5 other Ss  and write down answers.

part 2  - elimination game  - Teacher choose random numbers.. if the the Ss have that number on their worksheet, the they are out.   But the Ss who you called (number Ss) is still in the game.

In my class of 30 kids,  it took 6 -7 numbers to get a few survivors (winners). I gave them a prize.

Thank you cyrusbrooks! I also forgot to change the expressions on the first page on the PPT for the rock paper scissors game. I sometimes forget to change that when making new games. I like the shorter version :)

This is the PPT I made as an introduction before the students completed the Check-up (part 6). I used gifs for the vocabulary and some for the expressions.
