I made a ppt with missing dialogue to students after wee have read through the text a couple of times.  REMOVED

Then I'll have students watch a short video (there are loads of Anne stuff on YT, and the Megan Follows series was excellent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdglss_WHjU

I will have students do a "sentence maze".  It looks like a word search but it isn't.  It is actually a paragraph written  like a maze.  After competing the maze, students answer questions about what they read.  It sounds tough but it's actually quite fun.  You should give the maze a go yourself first.  REMOVED

I don't have any ideas for period 2.

Here is a PPT for Story Time 3- Anne of Green Gables.

I just modified Mr C's PPT from the previous post a bit, thanks so much Mr C! You always post such great materials! I used the first portion with the disappearing dialogue for period 1. I also showed a cartoon from Youtube that was about 13 minutes long to introduce the story (at the beginning of the lesson).

 I added a section to elaborate on the World Tour bit for period 2. I had a difficult time finding good game examples for some countries (like the US), because so many older games are played all over the world. Saying Chess originated from India was a bit of a long shot, although technically that's what Wikipedia says;) But it's also played world wide, so difficult to give credit to just one country. Feel free to change it any way you like!

I typed up the script and made a separate document with fill gaps. Students will get in teams and fill in the blanks with anything they want and then role-play.
