This activity focuses on Sherlock Holmes.  I designed it as a reading activity--each student reads one sentence aloud in turn.  The worksheet questions are numbered on the PPT as well--a yellow circle will appear in the top left corner each time an answer occurs.

I created a relatively simple mad libs activity.  It is the same story as Story Time, but the students will change some of the details in the story.  It will give the students some extra reading/speaking/writing practice, but I'm anticipating a couple "Teacher, no jam"s

I modified Mr C's sherlock PPT to fit my students (Thanks for the original PPT Mr C!)

The info. in the PPT and the worksheet was way too difficult for my 5th graders, so I took that out, and just introduced the history behind the Sherlock Holmes character by Doyle. I also added a disappearing dialogue section for extra practice. Then we did Check! Check! in the book, and the students practiced and performed the role play story for the class.
