I played Bingo with my students for period 1. I have too many students to ensure that they will actually speak during a small team game. So with this game, I know that students are speaking.

The rules for bingo were the same, but I made changes. I gave each student a blank bingo card and made a list of different parties ( Birthday parties, pajama parties, etc). Then the students made their own cards using the list.

This is how you play: Choose a student to start ( Student A).
Student A chooses a student in the class to invite to their "party". Julie is chosen.
Student A: Julie, Can you come to my birthday party? ( Birthday party becomes the current bingo word)
If Julie agrees, she says "All right", making Birthday party, the final bingo word for all students to cross off of their cards.

If Julie says "Sorry, but I have a pajama party", then Pajama party becomes the final bingo word for everyone to cross off of their cards.

After a final bingo word is given, I chose the next student with our student number generator.

I skipped ahead to this lesson because the kids are still somewhat paying attention, but as we get closer to vacation, their attention span will just disappear. And they studied directions in the 5th grade, so lesson 6 is more of a review lesson.

Hey guys,
Here's a Ghibli ppt I made using a template I found on this site.  I also included some pictures from one of the ppts in this thread, so thanks for finding them.  If any of you need a game, feel free to use this or tweak it for your own use.

Batman Bomb Game for review. Thanks to 한소로 - I used some of your pattern drill and pictures and thanks to Sprite06 for Batman game.

Also attached are my cards for walk and talk. 4 students get an invitation card and the rest of the class get pictures which must match up with the invitation.... helping focus on today, tonight and tomorrow.

The invitation students have to ask the others "can you come to my x party tomorrow/tonight/today". The invitation student should gather his/her guests.

I only have 16 students per each Grade 6 class so I have only created cards for that many students. You may want to do more.

Elimination game with sound. I would love to give credit to the person who designed the template.... But I don't know who they are... I am using this for lesson 3 as a quick wrap up

Pass the Ball Bingo game I created w bingo cards that require students to write the name of events and use "Alright" and "Sorry, but I have a _____" dialogue.

I didn't realize that someone else had thought of this concept!

Anyway, here's another version of my "Pass the Ball Bingo" game that I thought up last year.
Everyone fills out a bingo sheet, then while the music is playing you have one ball being passed around. When the music stops, the student with the ball stands up and asks: "Can you come to my ________?" and chooses one of the events/parties from their bingo grid.
The rest of the students either answer "All right!" if it is also on their grid (and they then cross it off) or "Sorry, I can't" if it isn't.

It's best to use for the 1st period, as a listening activity.
Hope this helps!

Word clouds. I use this as a writing race. I print the images. I number and place them around the room. Students have to work with their team to write all 10 sentences. Takes about 15 minutes after checking the answers with the PPT.

Could also use the PPT file as a warm up, though!

My name is in one word cloud. Doesn't really matter but if you wanted to change it, the website to create these is www.Tagxedo.com

This is a guessing game for part 1 or part 2:

Instructions
1) Print out one copy of the cards, cut them out and mix them in a hat.
2) Choose a student to randomly select a card.
3) Students will raise their hand and guess the card by saying "Can you come to my/the..."
4) If they guess correctly, the student with the card will say "All right." An incorrect guess will be "Sorry, I can't"
5) I usually like to divide classes into a boy team and girl team for this type of game.
