1) I edited Wesleymix34's intro a little, because some of the translations weren't appropriate for the contexts in which they are used in the lesson. Thanks Wesley.
2) A Pokemon bomb game. Students really loved this one. It was edited pretty fast from one found on another thread, so it's rough around the edges. But the students get it. Probably best for lesson 2/3.

Connect 4 for partners, and a PPT version to play as a class first so they don't mistake it for omok (though they still do, for some reason...). Whack a mole is a reading race where the teacher reads the sentences and the students in pairs race to circle the correct phrase.

Line bingo game

Teach them the forms of transportation then have them play line bingo.

Each student gets a strip of paper with pictures. Randomly select students and have them say a sentence of their choice like "I Will go to Jejudo by airplane."

Students with the airplane picture on either side of their strip may cross out (or tear away) that picture.

Another student is chosen to recite a sentence of their choice containing one of the vocab words (Presumably one of the words on the outside of their strip).

Continue like this until one student has crossed out or (torn away) all of their strip. That student is the winner.

Intro PPT and worksheet
Thanks for the ppts
Some of you might want to nix the baby and bbq pic, my coteacher freaked out.   She is crazy and overreacts at a lot of stuff, but still don't want to give a nasty person a reason, they take advantage.

Sentence search answers:

1. I will go camping.
2. I will go swimming.
3. I will study English.
4. I will ride a horse.
5. I will visit many museums.

What's the missing verb PPT was found elsewhere on Waygook, but I edited it.
I was planning on doing a drill with the PPT and then doing the line bingo posted earlier. Ran out of time.

Also including a writing sheet I often use for individual writing games. There's a 10 item sheet and a 5 item sheet. Two sheets per page.

Happy teaching, everyone~!

For period 1 I have some sentences with good pictures and a silly game.  REMOVED
For period 2 , I have a rebus PPT I found elsewheree on the site and made the expressions match this chapter. I will use it as a warm-up, and then play the "team" Last Man Standing" game.
Period 3, I have a review based on a TinyToons song about summer vacation (someone has added subs on this YT video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apXz7-vrycE ); the remainder of the PPT is various fictional characters like Shrek and Harry Potter with scaffolded sentences about their summer vacation.  REMOVED To end class, I made a "Spy game" conversation practice.  This is a walking around and talking game, students match their transportation with others to make a team--beware the spies! REMOVED
I made a "sleeping soccer players" game (think elephants) for period 4. REMOVED  I also have a summery "Pool Party Quiz Game" template that's a good match for this chapter. REMOVED

I also have this activity "What Happens Next?" Students see a vidcap and a title, then read four sentneces and try to pick which one describes "what happens next".
I didn't create this but I wish to thank whoever did.

This is a song that was originally written for the national textbooks 7 years ago that works great with this chapter.

Here is a worksheet for lesson 6.

Also, this is a video I made for 5th grade, I'll Visit My Grandparents. It can also be used as a motivation here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBSwJ7Lnygc

And I made a worksheet for this lesson.

Standard battleship game. Format was copied off of previous poster. Thank you

Also will use Tangled song with worksheet made by another user. Uses future tense a lot.

Here's a Mystery Box game that I edited for this book. Tons of credit to the original maker because this is probably the best game I've used. I hope your students like it as much as mine did.

edit: You'll also need a dice for 2 of the slides. If you don't have one then you can just make some changes to the slides.

Question mark is draw a card.
Board pictures are answers such as "I will go to Busan" " I will go shopping" etc.

This is a review activity (reading / listening) for the key sentences in Lessons 1-6. Students enjoyed it and participated enthusiastically (especially in Round 2).

Round 1: Students look for the sentences in their books and write the page number that it's on.
Round 2: Teacher reads a sentence and students try to find it first.

Took me around 20 mins in total. First page is for students and second has answers and sentences to read out. Note: the sentences may appear on other pages other than the ones listed in the answer sheet.

this is a worksheet i made for 6th period of lesson 6.  first my coteacher and i went through part A of page 108 as a class, and i wrote the students' answers on the board.

after that, i explained to the kids that in groups they were going to form their own travel agencies and would each make a brochure about a trip that they offer.  i showed them my sample brochure [which i've included pictures of below], and told them that if they wanted they could stick to the sentence format in blue, and just change the words and phrases in red [on the inside].

then the students did the first half of part C on page 109 in groups, planning out what kind of trip they wanted to put together.  i gave them 5~10 minutes to do that, and then we handed out the brochure worksheets and they filled out the rest themselves.  it's up to you whether you want them to stick to one city, or name multiple cities in one country.  don't forget to have them write their travel agency name and url on the back, too.

lastly, if you want to edit the original, i'm including it in the attachments.  the font i used for most of the brochure is called "KG Second Chances Sketch" and can be downloaded for free here: http://www.dafont.com/kg-second-chances.font.  and for some reason, i had to cut of the right and left edges of the paper in order for it to fold properly, so take that into consideration as well.

let me know if you have any more questions/have any issues with the files.  good luck~

Here is "pass the ball," but instead of passing balls, the Ss must stand up/sit down as the music goes. This is b/c some of my Ss are bullies and won't touch a ball if student X touches it. >:( I this i got most of the images from an existing waygook post.

Also, here's a telepathy game that my co-t shared with me.

I was asked to create speaking and listening tests for lesson 5 + 6.
Just thought I'd post them in case someone else could use them.
