This is a "Give Me 4" review activity.  Each student of a team (I usually have 4 on a team) must generate a sentence based on the info/instructions on the slide.  The whole team must complete the four sentences in one minute.

Six slides, one for each chapter. REMOVED

These are lesson 1-6 review activities.
Typhoon game, basically a bomb game.
A "write the missing sentence" game, where teams of 2-3 have ~25 seconds to memorize what's on the screen, then need to write down what's missing from the next slide.
And a not-quite telepathy game where each team writes one of four sentences, then points are assigned to each.

Ben1981 in the 6th grade thread (http://www.waygook.org/index.php/topic,86671.msg556118.html#msg556118) thought of this fun review activity, and I adapted it for 5th grade and stuck it in a PPT.  Students hunt for key sentences in their books, first by reading, then by listening.  We will play in teams, and the first team to have all books open to the right page and hands on their heads gets a point.  My CoT already stole this idea for her Korean classes, and said students loved it.  Thanks Ben1981!

Another review idea that I had: Students have covered almost exactly 100 pages.  So we will combine the speed-dating format with the "finger shootout" game described here:
http://www.waygook.org/index.php/topic,84988.msg539391.html#msg539391
-Speed dating as usual: Half of students stand, and migrate in order to talk to the seated students.
-Instead of playing RPS to change places, students will play finger shootout.  The number of fingers shown is the page number they turn to.  Example: seated student throws 7, standing student throws 5 => page 75.
- The first student to say a correct sentence to match the page is the winner, and sits down.
- When time is up, seated students are the winners.
- Content starts on page 8, so for numbers under 10, turn to 100 + that page.

Have fun!

Took rtw_acrobat's PPT and turned it into a worksheet so that students can work at their own pace.
