What did you do this summer? activity
« on: August 22, 2016, 02:08:58 PM »
Today is the first day back from summer vacation for my kids.
I just threw together this worksheet instead of jumping right into the textbook.

First is just "two truths and a lie." But I had my kids do four truths and a lie for this worksheet. They completed the worksheet and I had them take turns coming up to the front of the class. They told us what they did this summer, and the class tried to guess which was the lie. Super simple.

For low level kids, I'd suggest writing sentence starters on the board beforehand.

The second worksheet, I just had them choose three of the four truths they wrote about and draw a picture.

Hope you guys enjoy this simple activity~~ ;D

Edit: This morning I decided to edit the first worksheet to just a simple write and share for my 3rd graders. I'll have them complete the sentences and share with the class. Then, draw pictures for 3 of the 4 sentences they wrote about on the photo memories page.  ^^

k.bye~

I put together a simple PPT with pictures and gifs showing a 'typical' American Summer.
