Dream Vacation Filler Lesson
« on: August 30, 2016, 03:40:25 PM »
I needed a lesson for the first week back to school.  I created this easy "Dream Vacation" lesson.  It was a nice way to ease into the semester, got them talking, and they loved the game.

For the game, I ended up adapting it.  I made a list of countries and activities to do and just gave it to the specific student to do.  They took too long to think of their own so this worked WAYYYYYY better.  They couldn't say a city or country name but could say landmarks, food, flag colors, where it was, etc.

Great idea!! I took this idea and changed it for a 2 hour after-school lesson with middle school.

Not tried it out yet but hopefully it'll be a success!

Each group has a budget to plan a real vacation to anywhere in the world. They must use all the money they have to plan a vacation including all the members of their group. They have to plan the country, city, dates they will go, return flights, accommodation and activities.
They decide how long they will stay based on their budget.

I used both versions of this lesson as a filler and for my afterschool class! In both instances, it went very well! I really appreciate both of your efforts! :D
