I'm a big believer of not reinventing the wheel twice so I took fakeplasticvero's PPT and added some animations.  :-*

Electronic battleship with a good explanation. I altered a power point from another poster to make this.

It looks like a fun game and I understand the premise of 'You sunk my battleship' but could you explain the best way to play this game please.

This is a short and sweet little animation that the kids will love. There is no talking in it, but I plan to ask my students to make up some basic dialog for it. E.G. Help Me! / Sure.

I think the "Scrat" scenes from "Ice Age" work well because they are entertaining and have no dialogue so the students could act out a role-play based on the scene and create their own dialogue using key expressions from the unit. Here's an example:

Story time ppt with pictures and simplified text for "The Boy Who Cried Wolf."

I'll read in English, then the co will translate, then we'll have the kids read along, especially during the "HELP ME!" and "ARE YOU OKAY?" parts.

Considering making it into a role play...

Hope it works for you!

PPT for the storytime about Cinderella, you need to keep the video in the same folder if you want it to work off the PPT.

Okay, just split the class in two teams. Team A has to find the ships for Team B and vice versa. Have team A go first. Pick a student with his hand up from team A. He has to say, for example: Help me do my homework...yes" and then you click to reveal that square on team B. Then let Team B go next and so forth. Or, you can have teammates stand up in pairs, one of them says the question (Help me wash the dishes) and one says the answer (no, thanks) and then click on that square. First team to find the other 4 teams battleships is the winner.

Might seem like it doesnt work as only one student goes at a time, but for all my classes it went fast, by the end every kid wanted to have a turn and they were all listening to each other so they were all learning how to say the language.

I'm using this quick ppt as a warm-up. It's pictures of animals, and kids have to say "Look at the _____" Additionally, they can say "It's big" "It's small".

Here's a simple PPT game called "Find the Star!" to practice the key expression "Look at the..."

Students choose an item by saying "Look at the _____." You click on the item to make it disappear. One item on each slide will disappear and show a star.

One team could select the item while other teams respond with "Sure." or "Okay."

Show them the ppt to review lesson 6 expressions and vocabulary, then use the coin-flick board game in groups or pairs (modified from another poster's template, thanks!).  They put a coin (or magnet or whatever) on START and flick it, and wherever it lands, they have to say the expression.  If they're right, they sign their name or write their own symbol or whatever.  The student with the most signatures at the end wins.  If they flick outside of the board, they miss a turn.  If they flick onto a space that's already been taken, they go again until they get to an empty space.  And the arrow is a free space where they can sign without having to say anything.

I have included a vocabulary ppt (incl. spelling), 2nd period review, and games for period 3 and 4. Hopefully you can use these for the 2012 school year.

It's a small thing, but I got a great response from the kids by playing the Beatles' "Help" and asking them to stand up every time they heard the word 'help'. Justify it as being a cornerstone of Western culture!

Hello.  I actually modified an earlier powerpoint and combined another ppt with one but basically it is a newer one; where I added Korean words and more practicing the expression of "Look at the ____."  The second ppt is for the second section where you review.  There is also a short Guess the animal game.  Also attached is a Super Cool Mario Bomb Game attached.

Enjoy
