Weakest Link Scattegories
« on: November 01, 2016, 05:04:55 PM »
Hello all, this game is a different version of Scattegories, where I implement the idea of the "Weakest Link" as well. My Ss Gr 1-3 all get quite excited about not being the weakest link.

The original PPT is from somewhere else in this website I believe, but I added on to it a little bit.

Attached is the ppt, the printout, and my lesson plan.

Have fun :-)

Looks good but out of curiosity what happens to the team that is the weakest link each round? Are they then out and unable to continue the game?

We make the losing teams sweep the floors every class so that's why there's so much motivation to NOT be the weakest link lol. Basically the team that's the weakest link most number of times is the losing team. You'll have to adapt it to your school, but I wouldn't kick them out of the game since that'll kill their will to participate.

This is awesome. I'm going to use it with my Club students. I'm going to make it so if they lose, they have to sing a song in front of the other club students, that should sufficiently motivate them without discouraging them.
