Howdy, all. Got another template for you.
I'm sure many of you have played some variation of trash ball before. My students have always enjoyed it, but the templates I've DLed in the past have tended to, well, lack a bit of flair. I figured I'd do something about that.
For those unfamiliar with the concept: For Trashball, when a team gets an answer right, rather than points, they're given a number of chances to make a shot. If they get a 3, that means they have three chances to throw a ball/crumpled piece of paper/apple/small child into a basket/box/receptacle of your choice. Yes, that means you'll need something to throw and something to throw it into.
If you can't be bothered with that aspect of the game, though, you could just use this template as a standard bomb game, and just award points instead of making the students take the shots. That's your call. You're in charge, Hoss.
This template works like you'd expect any other bomb game to...
On the Selection slide:
Click a jersey's number (NOT the jersey itself) to go to a Question slide.
Click the basketball in the lower right corner to go to the Scoreboard slide.
NOTE: Each jersey has three numbers. When you click one, it will disappear and the next number will appear (ex: when you click 2, it will disappear and be replaced with 12). When you click a jersey's final number, the number and the jersey itself will disappear.
On the Question slides:
Click the question to make the answer appear.
Click the green circle to go to the Reward slide.
Click the red X to go to the Selection slide.
On the Reward slides:
Click a letter (NOT the balls) to make the reward number appear.
Click the small ball in the lower left corner to go to the Scoreboard slide.
On the Scoreboard slide:
Click the red numbers to cycle through them.
Click the ball to return to the Selection slide.
The scoreboard is fully animated and can be used with up to five teams.
As per usual, please make sure all the animations and hyperlinks work properly on the computer you'll be using in class. Everything worked fine when I tested it on my computer with the newest version of PPT, but that's no guarantee for all computers and/or versions of PPT.
Enjoy!
