You might be able to encourage them to speak up more voluntarily by coming up with some really funny or stupid questions about the movie.
That sometimes works for some kids.
Like for Zootopia, you could ask them if Officer Hopps would still taste like a rabbit or if she'd taste more like a human. Because you could argue that she's more human than rabbit.
Times like this I wish I had more drawing ability because I'd LOVE to draw animal carictures of some of the students, then give them tips on how to draw carictures themselves and letting them have a go at it... maybe even create an activity where I'd provide them with a picture of a celebrity and then they'd have to follow my description of that celebrity as an animal caricture. It would be fun to find out what kind of animals each student would end up with.
Then we could talk about what they would taste like.
