Oh cool (pun).
Mine is super old, and a top loader, which is probably why it's different.

We're looking to get a new one some time soon.
Would love to get one of those washer drier combos, but I hear that the set up can be difficult, and that not all apartments can handle the power draw that they require...

kyndo had you not included me in that little disclaimer there i would've made and absolute mess of things
I do what I can to keep us all safe!

Have trouble sticking to a budget?

Might not work for everyone, but works for me. (I send my money to US monthly)

Determine how much you need for the month / how much you want to save. On pay day, go to the ATM and take what you want to save in cash. Stash it in a box that you can put away and forget about. Force yourself to live within the means of your checking account and then deposit/transfer the cash to wherever when ready. (I like to keep it in cash for the month as a safety net incase something DOES come up.) Maybe it's stupid and not much of a lifehack, but it works for me really well...

edit: also, don't bring a card or cash when you when stepping out unless you know you need it. You'll spend much less on things you don't need.

I don't get in shape. I bring the gym to my house and I throw it around.

Not me.  Too many passive aggressive condescending comments to someone asking something like "How early should you get to the train/bus station to make sure you get a seat?"  with something like "Oh?  You buy your tickets in person?  How odd, most people who have been here for at least a few months would use the Naver app.  I didn't know you could even buy them in person. Haven't met anyone in years who's done that.  Um..."  He did that a lot.  Obviously the actual intent was to let us know how he went about doing certain tasks.  You can be helpful or you can be condescending.  He chose to be condescending in those circumstances.  Those were dark days on this board when based cowboy and romelettes roamed the board.  Lots of cringe moments.

You're not wrong. On page 2 of this topic I mentioned that Korean addresses are ridiculous, then he insists that they're fine and just tries to gaslight me about the fact that I saw taxi driver after taxi driver refusing to put addresses into their gps because they only respond to landmarks or intersections. And Korean addresses are useless when building 5 on the block is in between building 500 and building 32. I thought I read something about the government reforming the address system but I don't know if it came to anything.

It did.  But people don't use it so much.  I'm fortunate to have always lived near a station or intersection or by Gayang E-Mart-uh, except in Mok-dong, when the instruction was "Mok-dong gu-danji/ship-dan-ji", between complex 9 and 10.

Incidentally, aren't most English street numbers accorded by the order in which they were built on the street?

The new address system looks good on paper… odds and evens on opposite sides, numbering increases, spaces left, increments based on building/lot size… but implementation all depends on how well the local HAIC (Head Ajushi in Charge) understood the concept.

Space-wise it's easy to figure out, as you can find the detailed measurements online.
The power draw shouldn't be a problem, especially  if you don't run the both of them simultaneously while plugged into the same wall socket. Standing air conditioners, ovens, electric heaters etc. can draw similar power, yet most everyone use them in all different housing types.

If you feel like you've eaten too much sugar and it's making you feel sick, balance it out by eating some protein. Chicken breast, nuts and/or nut butter, and eggs give me the best results. Try to avoid foods high in carbs when trying to re-balance your blood sugar, so no wheat products.

Soak your shoes in oxiclean before washing them. You guys act like this is common knowledge, but it ain't. Soak that shit.

Keep used coffee grounds (or baking soda) in your gym locker. When I first got assigned my locker, it smelled horrible. I cleaned it with disinfectant wipes and sprayed it out with foot deodorizers, but the smell kept coming back because the years of reek had basically soaked into the wooden fibers of the locker wall. So after the last time I disinfected, I stuck in an open container of baking soda. Kept the smell at bay, but there was always still that little hint of it. So then I added coffee grounds. Bam. Best smelling locker in the entire gym.

Need more fiber?

Eat popcorn. Try to stick with the old-fashioned and not the microwave crap, but if you just don't have the time than go with the "healthier" low-sodium and butter ones.

You should be eating more fruit and veggies for your fiber, but if you just can't get it into your system, grab that popcorn -- just floss/brush your teeth immediately after, if you can.
