Was he married? I thought he'd sworn that off in his later years and just kept a house full of girlfriends.

The articles in the magazines were actually good. But Playboy was usually too soft core for me and my friends when we were growing up

She's 31 now. (When they married he was 86 and she was 26.) She'll inherit millions of dollars I assume.

It will be tied up in probate for decades!

How many children does he have?  How many unaccounted for? How many wishful thinkers?

His kids will probably get his money.

Nope.  They had an "ironclad" prenup set up.  She will inherit absolutely nothing from his fortune.  His family will be getting his fortune according to the will.

Both knew what they were getting into when they got together, just short fun while it lasted.  She gets some nice gifts and a fun time, and he gets a hottie for the duration of the relationship.  Heck, his 2 ex-wives' marriages lasted longer than her.  Would be silly for some new chick to just get married, and take a huge fortune away from his family members.

She only gets what was given to her during the relationship, nothing beyond that.  Basically a sugar daddy/baby relationship, nothing more.  Unless you really believe that despite the 60 year age gap, they had true love...

The Donald was a big fan.

"From parties at the Playboy mansion to his cameo in a soft-core porn film, Donald Trump‘s history with Playboy and its late founder Hugh Hefner is long and storied."

I read that too about their prenup. The article I read also stated that he bought a house for her a few years ago so will have a place to live when he dies. The mansion was sold in June under the condition that he could live in for the rest of his life. I guess the new owner kind of lucked out because that ended up being only a few months.

The article also said that he might have left something for her in his will, but yeah according to his prenup, she isn't going to get some large fortune.

TMZ obtained the deed to a Hollywood Hills home that is held in trust ... a trust controlled by Crystal Harris. Hef bought the 5,900 square foot house for her back in 2013.

And get this ... sources familiar with Hef's estate plan tell us he also left Crystal $5 million. Based on what we know, the deal is part of a prenup Hef and Crystal signed before they got hitched in 2012.

As for the house ... it's got 4 bedrooms, 5 baths and an infinity pool.

This was a sad day. Hugh Hefner moved mountains in his quest for sexual freedom of expression. He changed attitudes.

My parents were pretty forward thinking about life back in the day. They've both passed on now, a long time ago.

But back in the 70's my mom bought me a subscription to Playboy for my 16th birthday. To legitimize it in her mind, she also bought one for my dad. So every month two Playboy mags would arrive in the mail wrapped in brown paper.

The gang would come over and we'd sit in the living room with my mom asking what the center fold looked like this month, while the gang gawked and gasped in astonishment - at the centerfold and my mom. She's comment too, politely.

Yep, that added to Kolao's cool factor. Happy memories.

His death seems to have divided the left somewhat. There are views like the one above plus a long obit in the NY times but also articles like this in the Guardian/Independent

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/sep/28/hugh-hefner-pimp-sue-playboy-mansion

http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/hugh-hefner-dead-death-playboy-mansion-bunny-women-misogynist-predatory-enemy-a7972046.html

I guess it raises the perennial troublesome issue for feminists of  young attractive women exercising their freedom of choice.

I suppose the conservative view would be he was entitled to run his business how he wanted as long as he didn't break any laws but as a role model for the average guy on the street he ultimately led a shallow and not very fulfilling life.

i read your sentence as "while the gang gawked and gasped in astonishment - at the centerfold of my mom"

and i re-read it as that three times, thinking that your mom bought you and your dad a subscription, because she wanted to show off that she was this month's playboy centerfold, while somehow keeping it a secret that she was a mum-slash-part-time-playboy-model

No not quite. They were staring at my mom cuz she was just sitting in the living room with us, usually knitting and watching The Price is Right or some such game show. They couldn't believe she was that relaxed.

Of course, having a centerfold playmate for a mom could have had interesting moments. It would have been the popular house hang out spot eh!

I don't think Trump is the same person he was back then.

That said, the woman on the cover and the woman from 1993 where he's holding the polaroid, wowzers!!  I have no idea what they'd look like today, but those two were smokin'.  If I could go back in a time machine.....
