Have you tried Airbnb?

What were you experiences getting accommodation or renting out a house?

I'm thinking about using it as a guest for foreign country vacations as well as for making money from an empty home in the West. Anyone try this? Any good tips / words of advice?

I've had good and great experiences with airbnb in the US, Spain and Korea. Read the reviews before making a reservation and you'll be OK.

Most of the places I've stayed, the hosts want to interact with the guests and are very helpful/interesting. It can make traveling easier and more enjoyable.
